Mizuba Matcha Mojito
Lifestyle and food writer Cheryl Malik of 40 Aprons Blog shares her recipe for your new favorite summer sipper: The #MizubaMatcha Mojito!

Matcha and mint: the perfect, elegant summer cocktail pairing. Simple to make, even simpler to drink.

Ingredients
Matcha Simple Syrup

Makes enough for two drinks

Mojito

  • 5 mint leaves, plus extra for garnish
  • 2 oz white rum
  • 1 oz vodka
  • 1½ - 2 oz matcha simple syrup, to taste
  • Club soda
  • Ice

Recipe
Matcha Simple Syrup

  1. Make the simple syrup base by combining sugar and water in a small saucepan over high heat.
  2. Bring to a boil and whisk until dissolved. Remove from heat.
  3. Spoon matcha into a small bowl and pour a little simple syrup into the bowl to make a paste, whisking vigorously until smooth.
  4. Pour in remaining simple syrup and whisk until smooth.
  5. Place in an airtight container and refrigerate until cool and ready to use.

Matcha Mojito

  1. Tear mint leaves and place in the bottom of a tall glass. Muddle with a muddler or back of a spoon.
  2. Add rum, vodka, and matcha simple syrup, and stir to combine.
  3. Add a couple handfuls of ice, up to about ⅔ of the glass.
  4. Top with club soda and garnish with mint leaves before enjoying.
